Diagnosing a clutch pedal on the floor due to failed release bearing.
The most common reason to have a clutch pedal that goes all the way to the floor is a broken clutch cable this is extremely common particularly on older cars.
If it isn t hydraulic then it means the cable let loose.
Top off as necessary.
Slowly release the clutch pedal to its fullest extension and recheck the reservoir fluid level.
The darned pedal did not return again sticking to the floor.
With a little more effort pressure on said pedal it felt like it popped and then went far enough for the ignition to engage.
You could damage the clutch the clutch fork or the transmission.
That is because the hydraulic system has failed if it is hydraulic.
Clutch pedal falls to floor no more.
Replacing the cable will allow you to engage the clutch and change gears once more.
The clutch pedal would not go down far enough to allow the ignition to engage.
As i mentioned in my post on 02 01 15.
