If your siding makes noise when the wind blows or when the temperature changes it s a good sign something hasn t been done right.
Loose fitting aluminum soffits can develop annoying rattles when the wind blows in the right direction but the problem is easily solved with a few lengths of screen spline.

Push the soffit tight against the top of the channel with rubbery screen spline.
Incomplete caulking particularly under the window sill where it s less obvious may provide a whistle.
